Get to know us.
Work with an amazing team of accountants and bookkeepers you can trust.

Our team understands not all clients are the same. You are unique. So are your accounting needs. We recognize that every individual — and every business — is distinct. So our team offers personalized accounting services customized to what you require.
We see beyond the numbers and beyond the business to the person.
Alicia Loewen, Owner
Before creating Deximal, Alicia spent over ten years in public tax and corporate finance, growing into senior accounting roles that gave her a deep well of expertise. But her first love? Teaching. Now she gets to do both—making sense of the numbers and guiding clients through tools and systems that simplify their financial lives.
As a fellow small business owner, Alicia knows the balancing act—growing something great while still carving out time for real life. That lived experience shows up in every client conversation, where she turns tangled tasks into clear, doable steps (with zero judgment and lots of heart).
When she’s not crunching numbers, Alicia’s managing a different kind of chaos on her family’s 1,600-tree organic apple orchard—where she, her husband, and their two pint-sized “assistants” juggle farm chores, snack breaks, and the occasional squirt gun battle.

Chrissy McGuire, Accounting Manager
Chrissy started her career with a focus on tax, and spent nearly a decade deep in the numbers as a Senior Budget Analyst at Servus Credit Union. Along the way, she built a reputation for blending technical precision with a calm, collaborative approach.
After a pandemic-inspired career detour into the online world, Chrissy found Deximal and jumped right back into her accounting groove. As Accounting Manager, she brings a rare combo of deep financial expertise and people-first leadership.
Chrissy calls St. Albert home, where she’s raising two awesome kids and cheering hard for the Oilers (even during the nail-biters).

Danielle Collyer, Bookkeeping Manager
Before she was balancing books, Danielle was deep in the world of bacteria and lab coats—she holds a Master’s in Microbiology and once called science her full-time gig. But when life led her and her husband Cam (fellow science buff) to the peaceful shores of Chemainus, she swapped petri dishes for spreadsheets and found a new love in bookkeeping.
Danielle joined Deximal in 2022, bringing her data-loving brain, sharp eye for detail, and a clever sense of humor that keeps things fun (even during crunch time). When she’s not wrangling numbers, she’s usually mid-reno at home or crafting something delicious in the kitchen—always plant-based, always inventive.

With a BBA in Accounting and Business Law from Douglas College and a Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification from the Canadian Payroll Association, she brings serious know-how to everything from full-cycle bookkeeping and payroll to tax prep and tech troubleshooting.
She’s known for being the steady hand when things get messy, the first to jump in with a fix, and the kind of co-worker you actually want on a Zoom call.
When she’s not keeping ledgers clean, she’s exploring the Squamish mountains or racking up achievements in her favourite video games.

Oh, and if you’re wondering who’s playing Taylor Swift on loop—it’s probably Lili.
