We’re Hiring: Junior Bookkeeper

JUNIOR BOOKKEEPER

DEXIMAL ACCOUNTING INC. is a young and quickly growing online accounting services company. We provide cloud-based bookkeeping that is entirely paperless and online as well as payroll, tax preparation, and other accounting services. We are looking for a fantastic person to join the team as a full-time Junior Bookkeeper in our office in Duncan, BC.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A 2 year Accounting Diploma or 1 year Bookkeeping Certificate
  • 1-2 years of Accounts Payable or Bookkeeping work experience
  • Excellent communication skills in emails and on the phone
  • Moderate to High technology skills – comfortable using mobile apps, online software, and video conferencing
  • Typing speed 60 wpm or higher

We are not a traditional accounting firm! This is a fun environment where we are passionate about helping business owners bring their accounting into the amazing new world of business apps. We absolutely love accounting and find joy and a sense of satisfaction from simplifying and de-mystifying accounting processes and information.

The clients we help are passionate small business owners who are wonderful to work with. The person selected for the Junior Bookkeeper position will add to the positive energy of the office by exuding a positive attitude and determination in their work.

Responsibilities of the position:

  • Post supplier bills and expense receipts from electronic records in Hubdoc
  • Review QuickBooks Online banking feeds and match transactions to bank payments and deposits
  • Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Communicate with clients about missing info or questions

Starting Wage is $18/hour, 37.5 hour work week.
